‘Pondering on The King’s Request’

Pondering in my own thoughts;

Am I wrong to miss u?

Am I wrong to think that u hv forgotten about ME?

Am I wrong?

or is it that you’re just so caught up

with the things of your world that

you forgot to stop and remember ‘the’ one you called

‘Sweet Chariot!’

Pondering in my Heart;

Am I wrong to say that I miss your voice,

not knowing whether your coming

leaping upon the mountains or skipping upon the hills.

In my own world I ponder;

seeing u standing behind my wall;

looking through my windowns,

gazing through the lattice…

Pondering with my Spirit;

I heard you speak and said to me:

“Rise up, my queen, my sweet chariot, and come away.

For lo, the winter has past, the rain is over and gone.

The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come,

your voice is heard in my mind, a Rythm of my heart beat…

You put forth your beauty, and like the vines with the tender grapes,

you give a good smell.”

Pondering in my whole being;

you said;

“Rise up, my queen, my sweet chariot and come away!

O my dove,

in the clefts of the rock,

In the secret places of the cliff,

Let me see your face,

Let me hear your voice;

For your voice is sweet,

And your face is lovely”

Then I woke up

only to find out that,

I was in my own world

pondering on ‘The King’s Request’. Selah
